"The Last Spin" on Pattaya International Film Festival 2026
The Journey of “The Last Spin” to an Award-Winning Achievement
On August 27–28, 2026, the Nipan Studio team had the opportunity to travel to Pattaya, Chonburi, to participate in a short film competition centered around the theme of “Sustainability” The competition provided filmmakers with a platform to share their ideas and perspectives on sustainability through the language of cinema.
For this competition, we submitted our short film, “The Last Spin” in the Foreign Language Short Film category. A total of seven films were selected as finalists in this category, and our film was honored to be one of them.
For a small team from Chiang Mai like us, simply making it to this stage was already a meaningful experience. Before a film reaches the screen, there are countless steps behind it from developing the idea and writing the script, to preparing for production, filming, editing, and post-production. Every step was made possible through the dedication and collaboration of our entire team and cast.
And in the end, “The Last Spin” received recognition beyond what we had expected, bringing home two important awards:

These awards are more than just trophies or certificates to us. They are a recognition of the passion and dedication of everyone who contributed to this film, from our young actors who gave their hearts to their performances, to every member of the crew who worked together to bring this small story to life.
More importantly, these awards have become a great source of encouragement for our entire team and cast. They remind us that the things we worked hard for and believed in throughout this journey have meaning, and that our story was able to connect with both the audience and the judges.
For Nipan Studio, this is not simply the success of one short film. It is another small but meaningful step forward, giving us valuable experience, building our credibility, and inspiring us to continue creating, learning, and developing new work in the future.
